- Items & Bills (No More Consolidated Bills)

Navigation Bar & Module Names
Following the update, the first thing you'll notice is that the names and placement of the accounts payable modules on the side navigation menu have changed:
Details:
- The Invoices & Bills section is now named Accounting
- The Invoices module has been added under a new Receivables section
- Instead of separate modules for Carrier Bills, Commission Bills, and Commission Items, the new Payables has been broken out by vendor type (Carriers, Drivers, and Salespeople)
Beyond the menu changes, Drivers, Fuel Purchases, and Receivables will remain the same.
However, Carriers will have some added functionality.
Lists View
Looking into the new Carriers module, you’ll notice that the list view has been updated to have a similar look and feel as other modules in the app.
Before:
After:
Details:
- Instead of showing all manifests on the list, only outstanding manifests (those not yet added to a bill) will show
- Bill statuses have changed slightly:
- Before: Bill In Review, Bill Sent, Bill Approved, Bill Paid, Completed
- After: In Review, Approved, Partial, Paid, Archived
You'll also notice two new tabs at the top of the List View: Items, and Bills.
Items & Bills Tabs
Where before you could only add one manifest to a bill, with these new changes you'll be able to add as many manifests to a bill as you want - removing the need for "consolidated bills".
Before:
After:
This unlocks a number of bill management benefits, like the ability to:
- Combine multiple manifests into one bill
- Remove or reassign manifests if they don’t need to be paid on a particular bill
- Easily review and group items on a bill, since you can see accessorial, fuel charges, etc all in one spot
- Fewer Bill IDs to manage*
Bill Details View
Clicking into the Bill Details view, there are a few updates designed to simplify your accounting processes:
Before:
After:
Details:
- Helpful fields from the manifest, like Shipper, Consignee, Start/End dates, and Reference # will now be visible at the top of each bill item
- On bills with multiple manifests, you'll be able edit line items for each of them from this page, instead of clicking through to each individual manifest
There are also a couple new features that will add flexibility to your carrier billing.
Create A Bill Without A Manifest
Before, the bills you created were limited to what was included on the manifest. But what about the additional charges that may occur outside of a manifest, like trailer rental, warehousing fees, and detention fees?
With this update, you’ll be able to:
- Create a bill, unassociated with a manifest, at any time
- Reassign it to any existing manifests for a complete carrier bill
Upload Multiple Invoices At A Time
Before, when a vendor sent you an invoice with multiple manifests, you had to upload each one individually and attach it to the right manifest
Following the update, you can simply upload all relevant docs to one bill, all at the same time.
