Understanding Rose Rocket TMS User Roles & Permissions 

Rose Rocket offers 4 different TMS user roles with varying levels of access to the software. 

  1. Admin: Best for account owners or power users. Access to all functionality and system-wide settings of the TMS. Anyone setting up and maintaining core aspects of the software like connecting integrations, adding & managing permissions of other users, and updating account-wide settings should be set up as an Admin.
  2. Manager: Best for senior personnel and accountants. Access to the same account information as Admin users, with the ability to perform the majority of operations except setting up Integrations. Anyone doing invoicing & billing, analytics & reporting, and managing team members should be set up as a Manager.
  3. Operations: Best for dispatchers and freight coordinators. Access to planning & dispatching features to perform day-to-day operations like order management, trip & vehicle planning, and managing customer or carrier records. Financial information is only accessible for their assigned work, and settings can only be updated for their profile.
  4. Customer Service: Best for customer service reps with dedicated accounts. Access to standard features to manage customer accounts, like creating and rating orders, dispatching, and managing customer records. Financial information is only accessible for their assigned customer's orders, and settings can only be updated for their profile.

Understanding Network Portals & Driver App Permissions

Rose Rocket has 4 different Portals that give your network access to specific functionality to work smarter with your team. 

  1. Sales Portal: For salespeople to manage assigned accounts. Access their own private Portal where they can manage everything for their assigned customers. Sales users can manage their customer book, customers' orders and associated documents. 
  2. Partner Portal: For partner carriers to manage shared shipments. Access to a lightweight webpage where they can view & sign rate confirmations, see shipment details, upload POPs & PODs and chat with your team. 
  3. Customer Portal: For dedicated customers who want visibility. Access to their own secure Portal where they can create orders, request quotes, get status updates for their shipments and chat with your team.
  4. Driver Mobile App: For drivers to streamline communication on the road. Access to their own Driver Mobile App to manage the shipments assigned to them. Drivers can view upcoming and current trips, capture documents & signatures, and chat with dispatch. Drivers do not have access to the desktop TMS.
