QuickBooks Error Code 610

If you are receiving this error code while trying to export an Invoice to QuickBooks, continue reading to learn more about how to rectify the error.

Rose Rocket Error Message:

The QBO external ID tied to this customer does not exist. To create this profile in QBO and export this invoice delete the QB External ID on this customer's profile here.

QuickBooks Error Message:

"Message":"Object Not Found","Detail":"Object Not Found : Something you're trying to use has been made inactive. Check the fields with accounts, customers, items, vendors or employees.","code":"610"

Steps to Resolve:

The external ID tied to this contact in Rose Rocket does not exist in your Quickbooks Online account. To create this contact in Quickbooks follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Locate the Contact you are trying to Invoice/Bill.
  2. Navigate to the "QBO EXTERNAL ID" field of this Contact and delete on their current ID number to edit the current text in the field

  3. Remember to click "SAVE" at the top of the page to confirm your change
  4. Then go back the Invoice/Bill you were working on and export it to Quickbooks. If successful this will create the contact in Quickbooks along with exporting the Invoice/Bill and update the QB External ID in Rose Rocket.
