Unless there's a specific override in place (e.g., custom rating rules), all mileage will follow PC Miler’s routing engine.
How to Set It Up
Step 1: Go to Settings

Log into Rose Rocket

Go to Settings

In General, scroll down to Distance and routing then click Edit.
Step 2: Select PC Miler as Your Default
Only Admin users can change the mileage provider in Settings.
Once the integration is set up, every user will be able to use PC Miler as the default calculator.
- Contact your account representative at Trimble to obtain an API Key for PC Miler.
You will need the web version to connect their PC Miler with Rose Rocket, PC Miler doesn't support integration via the server version. - Under Provider API Keys, copy and paste the API Key, then click Validate.

Under “Default Provider,” you'll be able to select PC Miler from the drop-down.
- You can select the appropriate provider version and routing preferences. The provider version refers to the app version that you currently have installed. The drop-down menu will only display the versions that are available with the API key you have entered.
- Next, choose the Routing preferences. Routing preferences are defined by PC Miler and are specific to your API keys.. Click here to learn more.

Limitations to Know

🚧 PC Miler’s advanced routing options like avoid toll roads or restrict border crossings are not yet supported in this version.

📱 Mobile and classic mileage tools (like Google Maps) will remain active in older workflows unless updated.

📝 This feature is currently supported for paid users with the Orders- Tier 1 module.

Do I need a PC Miler account to use this feature?
Yes. You’ll need your organization’s PC Miler API key to connect it to Rose Rocket. Contact your Trimble account representative to obtain the API key.
Customers will need the web version to connect their PC Miler with Rose Rocket.
Can I switch back to Google Maps later?
Yes. Admin users can change the default provider in Settings.
Will this change how mileage shows up in my documents?
Mileage shown in quotes and orders will now reflect PC Miler’s values—but check that your rate cons and invoice reference the correct fields if you’ve customized them.
