How do I create a new Order in the Customer Portal?

This article will outline how to create a new Order using the Customer Portal.

All customers with Portal access will be able to complete this action.

To locate your Orders:

  1. On the left side of the screen, navigate to the Orders Module

To create a new Order:

    1. Ensure you are on the Orders list
    2. In the top right corner, click on the "NEW ORDER" button
    3. This will create a new Order and automatically take you to its Order Details page
    4. Fill out the Shipper information
    5. When you click on the "Company Name" text box and start typing, Rose Rocket will automatically search your Address Book and show a list of Shippers you have used before, which you can select from a drop-down list

      Using the previously entered information in "Company Name" will auto-fill all Shipper information below as well, saving you the extra data entry
    6. If you are using a Shipper that has not been used before, you can instead select "SEARCH GOOGLE" - always the last option on the list - to search Google for your Shipper's information

    1. Fill out the Consignee information
    2. When you click on the "Company Name" text box and start typing, Rose Rocket will automatically search your Address Book and show a list of Consignees you have used before, which you can select from a drop-down list

      Using the previously entered information in "Company Name" will auto-fill all Consignee information below as well, saving you the extra data entry
    3. If you are using a Consignee that has not been used before, you can instead select "SEARCH GOOGLE" - always the last option on the list - to search Google for your Consignee's information

    4. Next, fill out the "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION" section

      Ensure to add reference numbers to easily find this Order later
    5. Under "READY TIME", specify when the Order will be ready to be picked up
    6. Under "REQUESTED DELIVERY", specify when the Order needs to be delivered
    7. If necessary, enter any special instructions for the Driver
    8. If you have any accessorials, click the blue plus button to add them to the Order
    9. In the Commodities section, you can define all of the information about the freight
      This information will auto-save as you enter it
    10. You can add as many Commodities as you would like by clicking "+ ADD COMMODITY" to add news lines to this section
    11. When you have entered all the necessary information, navigate to the top right corner of the screen and click "NEXT"
    12. Rose Rocket will then ask if you would like to save any new additions to your Address Book
    13. Click either "YES" or "NO", depending on if you think you will use them again
    14. If you have established rates with your Broker or Carrier, they will now be displayed at the bottom of the Order

      If you would like to use one of these quotes, click "SELECT" next to it
    15. You can also click "REQUEST SPOT QUOTE" to request a different rate

      Utilize this option if no rates appear under "Quotes & Services"
