1. Available Roles in Rose Rocket
There are eight default roles available, five of which are internal and three of which are external. A full list is below:
Internal Roles
- Admin: Full access to all system features and settings. Best for account owners and system administrators. Access all objects and control settings, integrations, and permissions.
- Manager: Manage team activities, access reports, and oversee operations. Ideal for accounting teams and senior personnel. Nearly full access to all objects but no access to organization settings or subscription settings.
- Operations: Best for dispatchers and freight coordinators. Access to planning & dispatching features to perform day-to-day operations like order management, trip & asset planning, and managing customer or carrier records. Limited access to financial information, and settings can only be updated for their profile.
- Customer Service Rep: Ideal for CSRs handling day-to-day customer interactions. They have access to shipment tracking, order management, and customer communication tools. Limited access to financial data and organizational settings.
- Sales: Ideal for sales teams managing customer accounts. Limited access to financial data.
External Roles
- Driver: Ideal for company drivers and owner-operators who work with your company. Access to necessary information for delivering and tracking loads.
- Customer: Ideal for Customers to view their orders, track order status, request quotes and pay for invoices.
- Guest: Very restricted access for temporary users.
- External: Individuals provided a public sharing link.
Important to Note: Each role can be customized by your Account Manager if necessary. The initial role set up is our default recommendation.
Can a user have more than one role? No, a user can only have one role. Users can belong to multiple groups, but groups do not have their own set of permissions.
2. Module Default View - Permissions Matrix
See which default views each user role has access to. If youβd like to give a user access to any of these default views, you can change the permission settings. In addition, users with no access to the default view can access specific shared boards.
π‘Reminder: The default view shows all associated records in that module. This is why roles like Sales cannot see the default Orders view.
