Sending Load Tender Updates - 214s

Learn how to automatically send load tender updates to customers via EDI and streamline communication.

How It Works

Document type: 214 - Load Tender Update

  1. Automatic Updates: Rose Rocket sends load tender updates via EDI for every task in an order when:

    • Task type = Pickup or Delivery: Updates are not sent for tasks like Load, Unload, etc.
    • Task status = Arrived or Complete
    • Information sent: last know location, task status, stop sequence number
  2. Regular Status Updates: Additional updates are sent every 15 minutes with:

    • Task type = Pickup or Delivery
    • Task status = In Progress or Problem; ‘Other’ is the default reason code for ‘Problem’ and can be updated.
    • Information sent: last know location, task status, stop sequence number, delayed reason code (if applicable)
  3. Activity Log: Each time an update is sent, it is logged in the Activity Log.

FAQ

How do I turn on 214s (status updates)?

Status updates (214s) are automatically turned on and sent for each EDI order.

Will status updates be sent for multi-stop orders?

Yes. All pick up and delivery task shipment status updates will be sent.

When do the 214’s get triggered?

214’s are sent every 15 minutes on the 4th min of the hours; this means 4, 19, 34, 49. For example - for a task placed In Progress at 3pm, a 214 will be sent at 3.04pm, 3.19pm and so on until it changes status.
