      How to use international address support for global freight operations

      Manage shipments beyond North America with full international address support. This feature allows users to search, enter and validate addresses worldwide, ensuring accurate routing and delivery for international freight.

      Why International Address Support Matters

      • Accurate Routing & Delivery: Ensure addresses are correctly validated and formatted for international shipping.
      • Customizable Country Filters: Focus on specific regions or allow for a full global address search.

      Step-by-Step Guide

      Step 1: Configure International Address Support

      International address is enabled by default. To customize the setup further, follow this step: 

      1. Go to Settings
        • Navigate to Settings -> General -> Click Edit.
          1 To kick off, click on "Edit".
      2. Find the "Countries" Section
        • Under General Settings, locate the Countries setting.
          2 Click on "Specific countries (max 5)".
      3. Choose Your Address Configuration: There are two options for address support:
        • Specific Countries (Up to 5)
        • All Countries (Removes restrictions, enabling worldwide address search)
          3 Once that's done, click on the element.
      4. Save Changes
        • Once you've selected your preferred option, click Save to apply the changes.

      Step 2: Using International Addresses in Orders & Manifests

      1. Add a New Address
        • When entering an address in Orders, Manifests, or Partner Profiles, type the location in the search bar.
      2. Auto-Fill Province, State, and Country
        • Rose Rocket automatically fills in province/state and country fields based on the selected address.
      3. Manually Adjust Address Details
        • Users can manually edit the state and province fields to reflect the correct region if needed.
      4. Verify Address Formatting
        • Confirm that the formatting follows Google Search standards for accurate mapping and routing.

      1. What happens if I select "All Countries"?

      • Address lookup will expand to include any country supported by Google’s Places API.

      2. Can I limit searches to specific regions?

      • Yes, you can select up to 5 countries under Specific Countries in Settings.

      3. Will this change affect my existing addresses?

      • No, enabling international addresses will not modify previously saved locations.

      4. Can I manually edit an address if the system fills it incorrectly?

      • Yes, the state and province fields remain editable for manual corrections.
