Rose Rocket’s Driver Object lets you customize driver profiles by adding fields for contact details, licenses, asset links, and more—giving you full control over how driver information is stored and used.

User Segment

All admins with Object Builder Tier 1.

Benefits of the Driver Object

  • Customizable Fields: Businesses can extend driver profiles by adding custom fields for various data, such as license and insurance information.
  • Automation: Automate updates such as starting/ending locations, loaded miles, and more, which helps streamline operations.
  • Improved Tracking: Monitor driver location history and share information about drivers’ last known location.

How It Works

  1. Launch Object Builder
From the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Settings > Objects > Driver Profile.

  2. Click "Create custom field"

    • Introduce a new field for tracking specific information that is not included in the platform by default.

    • You can edit or remove fields that suits your business needs. Examples include license expiration dates, DOT information, or specific contact details.

    • Check out our article on How to customize your data with Object Builder.
  3. Click "Documents" within the driver profile

    • Upload any documents you want to save for your drivers.
    • We recommend not storing sensitive information like medical documents in Rose Rocket, as this requires a complex security setup to ensure the driver's medical information is not accessible to other members.

Automate Driver Profile Updates

  1. Set Location Automation:

    • Store starting and ending locations on driver profiles, which automatically populates manifests and tracks miles traveled.
  2. Link Assets to Drivers:

    • Tie a specific asset (such as a truck) to a driver for easier management of assigned vehicles and routes.
  3. Track Licenses and Certifications:

    • Store and automate reminders for certifications like DOT or MC numbers.

Use Case Examples

  • A fleet manager adds license and contact details to every driver profile using custom fields.

  • A compliance officer sets up fields to track and update certification renewals.

Best Practices

  • Use the Object Builder to tailor driver profiles to your business needs.

  • Group required fields together for easy access (e.g., licensing, insurance).

  • Avoid storing personal medical data unless you have the appropriate compliance measures.

  • Review driver profiles quarterly to ensure all data is accurate and current.
