Carton Cloud X Rose Rocket Rating Integration

This article covers how to set up and use the integration, what to expect, and key limitations.

The Carton Cloud x Rose Rocket integration allows customers to rate their Rose Rocket orders using Carton Cloud’s rating engine—giving warehouse and carrier operators a more connected experience across both platforms.

Requirements

  • Users must have active accounts in both Rose Rocket and Carton Cloud

To set this up, please reach out to your Account Representative at Rose Rocket and Carton Cloud

In Rose Rocket Set Up

  1. Navigate to:
    Settings → Module Settings → Carton Cloud → Edit → Enable toggle

  2. Enter authentication details provided by Carton Cloud:

    • Client ID (username)

    • Client Secret (password)

    • Tenant ID (Org ID)

🔄 Syncing Between Systems

Syncing Customers

  1. Export customer list from Carton Cloud

  2. Convert to CSV and upload into Rose Rocket

  3. Map Customer Name and Customer UUID

  4. Upload and confirm

Customers must exist in both systems and be matched by UUID to enable rating.

Syncing Orders & Consignments

  • CC → RR: Consignments created in CC auto-create orders in RR

  • RR → CC: Orders only sync to CC when moved to ‘Delivered’ status

There is no backfill for past orders/consignments.

 📦 Rating Orders with Carton Cloud

Once your setup is complete, use Carton Cloud’s rating engine directly from RR:

To Get Rates:

  1. Go to your RR order

  2. Widgets → Add Quote → Rate

  3. CC will return rates as line items

  4. Click Save to lock in the quote

Requirements:

  • Customer (with valid CC UUID)

  • Pickup & Delivery locations

  • Service Type

  • Commodity details (type, qty, dimensions)

    🔁 Re-rating is allowed if the RR order is still in Delivered status.

🔄 Updating & Deleting

RR → CC

  • Updates only sync if RR order is in Delivered status

  • Deletions do NOT affect CC (consignment remains)

CC → RR

  • Updates can be manually pushed:
    Transport → Consignments → Select → Send to Rose Rocket

  • Deletions in CC do NOT delete matching RR orders

🧾 Invoicing

  1. Mark RR order as Delivered

  2. In CC: More → Invoices → Add Invoice

  3. Add consignments and generate invoice

💡 Use CC to generate invoices (especially if integrated with Xero/MYOB).

🧠 FAQs

Why can’t I see the Service Type field in RR?

Ensure you have the Carton Cloud module enabled and check Widget Builder settings.

How do I create a new Service Type?

New service types can be created in two different ways:
1. In CC
2. In RR via Object Builder.

Any service types that were not previously added in RR will be dynamically created when a consignment is received and an order is created.

Can I auto-create customers across systems?

No. Customers must be manually created in both platforms and mapped via UUID.

⚠️ Known Limitations

  • No automatic sync unless RR order is Delivered

  • No backfilling of past orders or customers

  • CC prevents edits to approved/paid invoices—RR does not

  • Quotes and Manifests are not rated (Orders only)

  • NZ address formatting may be limited
