August 19 Release Notes - Customization on Boards, Document Access Control (sharing docs with drivers!), and Faster Invoicing

View your data the way you want for quicker decision-making, set document-level permissions and share files directly to the Driver App, plus new enhancements to speed up invoicing.

1. Customizing Your Boards

You can now fully customize how you view and manage data on Boards — like orders, quotes, manifests, or tasks.

What you can do:

  • Add, remove, and rearrange columns

  • Set and save filters to narrow down what you see

  • Group by fields like Driver, Status, or Customer

  • Save and pin views for quick access

  • Duplicate boards for personal use

  • Share boards with teammates

  • Star your most-used boards

Why this helps:

  • Group by Driver to balance workloads

  • Group by Status to focus on what’s active or delayed

  • Group by Pickup State to plan tighter routes

  • Group by Customer to track volume and bulk invoice faster

This gives every user better control of their workspace, without needing to change it for everyone else.

2. Customizable Document Permissions

You can now control which roles can view, upload, or delete different document types.

What you can do:

  • Hide sensitive docs like invoices from roles that don’t need them

  • Share only the right documents with the right people

  • Ensure every user still sees their own uploads

Why this helps:

  • Protect financial information by restricting access to invoices or pay stub

     

2a. Sharing Documents with Drivers


You can now control permissions on documents so drivers can view, download, and upload documents directly in the Driver App.

What you can do:

  • Update document permissions by role

  • Share documents like BOLs, invoices, or PODs with drivers

  • Drivers can view shared documents in the Documents tab of their manifest

  • Drivers can still upload their own documents as before

Why this helps:

  • Share critical docs (e.g., BOLs) that previously couldn’t be sent to drivers

  • Keep all order- and manifest-related documents in one place

  • Improve communication and reduce back-and-forth with drivers

3. Document Field on Invoice Items Board

You’ll now see a new Docs field on your Invoice Items board. This clickable field lets you view and add documents directly from the board, without needing to open the related Order.

Why this helps:

  • Quickly access PODs and other docs while auditing

  • Save time by managing documents in one place before invoicing

4. Customer Invoice Defaults

You can now set default documents for each customer and choose whether they should be combined into a single invoice. Paired with our Invoice Default Contacts feature, these fields help streamline invoicing and reduce manual setup.

Why this helps:

  • Save time by automating invoice preferences per customer

  • Ensure the right documents are always included

  • Simplify workflows by combining multiple docs into one invoice when needed
